Hotspur Tickets FAQ

Q. I have a ticket I wish to sell, what next?

A. Simply send us a tweet with the opposition, location of seat and price.

Q. Can I sell the ticket for more than face value?

A. No, this page is not designed for profit or ticket touting. If you wish for us to RT your request you must be selling at face value. We are not in the business of taking advantage of fellow fans. It is between the buyer and seller if you choose to round up tickets if meeting in person ie £54 to £55 etc. If transaction done by post, again it is up to the seller if they wish to charge a postage fee.

Q. I've had several people get in touch saying they want my ticket, what do I do next?

A. How you go about the transaction is entirely up to you. Ideally doing a deal in person is best so everyone knows where they stand. We don't get involved in this however, so whatever you and the buyer agree on is fine.

Q. I really want to go to a game, what can you do for me?

A. As I'm sure you can appreciate, we are constantly in-undated with requests for spares. We do not RT requests as peoples timelines would be full of them and that does no-one any good. The best thing to do is keep an eye on the timeline at we RT all spares as soon as they become available.

Q. My ticket is on a membership card how can I sell my ticket?

A. Again, this is entirely up to you. So far a few people have sold their ticket on their card, but requesting a £10 deposit (on top of Face Value price) to be returned to the buyer once the card has been safely returned.
Of course there is always an element of trust involved in these sort of transactions. If you don't wish to lend your card, then don't, it really is that simple.

Q. What do you get out of this?

A. Absolutely nothing, we make no profit and we don't see any money or tickets. This is just a great way to get bums on seats to ensure we support our team for every game as best we can. I hate seeing empty seats at games so hopefully this helps all concerned.

Q. Can I sell or loan my Season Ticket for a year through you?

A.No, We dont RT season ticket sales or loans.

Q. What do I do if I think someone is a scammer, or think I have been scammed?

A.The most important thing here is to be very careful who you are dealing with. We have a list of trusted sellers that we try to keep up to date as we can. If you are suspicious, dont deal with that person. The tell-tale signs are new accounts, no photos of themselves, loads of pointless RT's to make their accounts look more active than they are, demanidn payment by bank transfer etc. A lot of the scammers will tell you they are based a long way a way so as to make you think they can't meet. Last season a lot said they were from Wales. Bottom line is, if you dont think somethings right, dont send money. Its not worth losing hundreds of pounds over. If you do still feel the need to send money electronically then do so via paypal, they will protect your purchase and refund you if it turns out to be a scam. Try to avoid bank transfers / online banking etc at all times unless you are totally sure. If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

If you do think you have been a victim of a scam then report immediately to http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/ take screen shots of everything and let me know so I can warn others.
